FSc Aggregate is the combined Part 1 + Part 2 total used to certify completion of the Higher Secondary Certificate (Faculty of Science) in Pakistan. The full marks are typically 1100 — Part 1 carries 550 and Part 2 carries 550, distributed across subjects.
FSc Pre-Medical and FSc Pre-Engineering have slightly different subject mixes (Biology vs Mathematics) but both follow the 1100-mark structure. Computer Science FSc replaces Biology with Computer Science.
For university admission, the FSc aggregate is converted to a percentage:
FSc % = (Obtained Marks ÷ 1100) × 100
Most Pakistani professional universities apply a weighted admission formula that combines Matric (often 10%), FSc (often 40%), and the entrance test such as MDCAT or ECAT (often 50%). The exact weights vary by university and year — always consult the current prospectus before assuming.
A "first-class" FSc result is conventionally 60% or above; "A grade" is 70% or above; "A+ grade" is 80% or above. These thresholds are inherited from Pakistan's general grading system rather than published by the boards as such.
