Marks Calc

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 2026. Your privacy is not merely a legal requirement; it is a fundamental architectural decision in everything we build.

Our Policy at a Glance

  • 1

We do not store your grades or sensitive academic records on our servers permanently.

  • 2

We do not sell your personal information to academic brokers or ad networks.

  • 3

Most calculation logic happens directly in your browser ensuring absolute confidentiality.

We collect minimal data required for our tools to function. Your calculation inputs (e.g., marks, GPA digits) are processed locally in your browser when possible. This means the raw data never hits our servers. For tools that require complex server-side logic (like certain AI-powered estimation models), data is temporarily held in memory and securely discarded immediately after the result is generated. We do not store these inputs in any permanent database unless you explicitly use a feature that requires a persistent profile (such as saving a dashboard report).
Regardless of your location, we respect your rights to your data. Under regulations like the GDPR and CCPA, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we may have. Since we prioritize non-collection, there is often no data to delete. However, if you have interacted with our support team or linked a social profile, you can request full data erasure at any time. We respond to all such requests within 30 days.
Our servers are primarily located in the United States and Europe. If you are accessing the site from other regions, please be aware that information may be processed in these jurisdictions. We use standard contractual clauses and ensure our hosting partners maintain high-level security certifications (SOC2/ISO 27001) to protect your data during transit and processing.
We do not sell your personal data to brokers. We use standard third-party analytics (like Google Analytics) to understand aggregated traffic patterns. These services may use cookies to track broad usage statistics across the site. Additionally, we use high-fidelity CDN services (like Vercel or Cloudflare) to ensure fast loading times globally. These partners may process your IP address for security and optimization purposes.
Certain tools (like the CV Builder or Attendance Planner) use your device's Local Storage to save your progress so you don't lose work on page refresh. This is a client-side technology; the data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it as a PDF or share a public link. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser cache.
While our tools are educational, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please use these calculators under the supervision of a parent or guardian. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will delete that information immediately.
Our infrastructure uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS 1.3) for all data in transit. We perform regular security audits of our codebase to prevent vulnerabilities. While no system is 100% secure, we significantly limit our risk profile by simply not collecting vulnerable personally identifiable information (PII) by default. Your academic results are your business, and we keep it that way.
