Marks Calc

Calculate Hours, Work Time & Study Schedules

Free hours calculator with 4 modes: time duration between two times, weekly work hours with payroll, study planner with Pomodoro sessions, and days between dates with business day count.

How It Works

Duration = (End - Start) - Breaks; Payroll = Regular×Rate + Overtime×1.5×Rate

Calculate the difference between start and end times, subtract break duration for net hours. For payroll, hours up to 8 are regular rate; beyond 8 are overtime at 1.5× rate. Weekly hours are summed across all working days.

Quick Tips

Overtime
In India, overtime must be paid at 2× the normal rate under the Factories Act. For IT/office jobs, 1.5× is common practice.
Study Hours
Research shows 25-min Pomodoro sessions with 5-min breaks maximize retention. Our planner calculates total Pomodoro sessions needed.
Business Days
Business days exclude weekends. For Indian holidays, add 15-18 days per year. Use the Between Dates mode for project planning.
Night Shift
If end time is before start time, the calculator automatically assumes overnight (adds 24 hours).
